Woodley

These proposals would introduce two cycle routes connecting Woodley with Twyford. The first route includes segregated cycle tracks on Headley Road and Hurricane Way to link with an upgraded off-road shared use footpath/cyclepath on Beggars Hill Road. The alternative route would follow residential streets to reach Waingels Road, where speed limits would be reduced, and traffic calming introduced. 

Along both routes footpaths would be widened and crossings added. The proposals also include upgraded footpaths on Reading Road and through Ashenbury Park.

At Headley Road and Spitfire roundabouts, major junction improvements would be considered which would look to provide protected crossing facilities for cyclists and pedestrians. At smaller junctions kerbs would be built out to reduce crossing distances and to slow turning vehicles.
