Nightingale Road

These proposals include introducing a cycle route from Earley to Woodley. This would utilise the existing Henley Wood Road subway - which would be upgraded with reprofiled entrances to make it more accessible to wheelchairs and non-standard cycles. Segregated cycle tracks would also be introduced on Nightingale Road by claiming space from grass verges.

Mini-roundabout junctions on the route would be converted to priority T-junctions to allow the installation of cycle crossings. At smaller junctions the kerbs would be built out to reduce crossing distances and slow turning vehicles.
